Sejong Lake Park
The Sejong Lake Park has Korea’s largest artificial lake, which is 62 times as big as a soccer field and has 3m of average water level. You can find a beautifully unfolded screen in the neighborhood with the National Library of Sejong and the Jeonwolsan Mountain, which fit in perfectly with the park. The Sejong Lake Park has five artificial islands: the Festival Island as a place for various festivals, the Stage Island that can boast of being the best floating stage in Korea, the Pool Island that associates with the seashore in the city, and the Water Flower Island and the Marsh Island with various water plants and ecological marshes. Plus, a trail and bicycle road near the lake can be a place for Sejong citizens to have a leisurely and relaxed time.

Bangchukcheon
As a theme river park in the city, Bangchukcheon Riverside Park is composed of five themes between 10-16 bridges around the riverside: Waterside Theme Park, Sejong Plaza, Natural Ecological Learning Sector, Water-friendly Culture Sector, and Water-friendly Activity Sector. As a rest area for Sejong citizens, this park has become a new attraction in Sejong City.

The National Library of Korea, Sejong
With two underground floors and four floors above the ground, the National Library of Korea, Sejong represents the city’s cultural center which is frequently visited by families since its foundation in 2013. It has the necessary facilities including a library, reading rooms, lecture hall and cafeteria, and provides various educational programs and lectures. The design of the National Library of Korea, Sejong, is a main attraction. The rooftop has the appearance of a book placed upside down, and as though flipping through the pages of a book passes data from folder to folder. This design has the meaning of accepting the digital concept with the analogue foundation along with humanistic emotions in an effort to make it an expressive library.

Hapgang camping Site
Hapgang camping Site is located at Hapgang Park of Sejong Sector for Saving Geumgang River, in which Geumgang River and Miho Stream meet. This camping site brings nature and man together with various attractions like the ecological park and conserved wetlands and bicycle road, trail and hiking path where people can enjoy the beauty of the Geumgang River and the Miho Stream. The Geumgang River Natural Recreation Forest
The Geumgang River National Recreation Forest is a perfect place for the summer vacation to both enjoy the history of Baekje and experience learning in the forest. As it has untouched natural characteristics, you can see green environment from the entrance of the forest and see a variety of tropical plans in the Tropical Greenhouse, the forest’s landmark. From mid-July to August, a camping site is opened to experience pleasant camping.

Beartree Park
With about 1,000 different types of flowers and trees in the site of 100,000㎡, the Bear Tree Park provide a variety of things to watch made of unique materials along with trees and bears. Attracting many families, the park includes the Asiatic Black Bear Hill, with 150 cute Asiatic black bears, a symbol of the park, the Pet Zoo where peacocks and beautiful spotted deer welcome visitors, and the Arboretum where visitors can enjoy various themes simultaneously such as the neatly trimmed flowers, trees and rare plants and animals.

Dweeungbark Village
If you walk through from the entrance of the village, you can see a magnificent view with a thousand jars full of the traditional sauces. Located at the foot of the Unjusan Mountain, Sejong City, Dwiungbak Village is a traditional sauce theme park where local residents can spend a leisurely time with traditional sauces and culture. The village provides a place of rest and social education by providing opportunities to study, examine, preserve and display Korean traditional sauce culture. The village also has a museum for easy understanding of accurate regional culture regarding traditional sauces. The museum has two exhibition halls, displaying not only a variety of bean seeds but also various old books that describe the process of making sauces, sauce ingredients and their history, and exhibiting various pottery wares under themes such as “soybean paste,” “soy sauce,” “red pepper paste,” and “kitchen gadgets” as well as providing various experience opportunities.

Space Geodetic Observation Center
As Korea’s only observation center establishing and operating high accuracy space geodetic technology, the Space Geodetic Observation Center has not only a promotion and observation center with antenna (radio telescope) with 22m in diameter and 28m in height, but also an advanced system (VLBI) which provides more accurate coordinate values than GPS by receiving radio wave from quasar (celestial bodies which cannot be distinguished from regular stars optically) billions light year away. As the 16th established in the world and 3rd established in Asia, this system provides the public with a variety of unfamiliar information about space geodetic technology and is expected to attract attention as the city’s representative landmark.

Gobok Natural Park
Designated and announced with 1.949㎢ in size on January 20, 1990, the Gobok Natural Park is famous for its driving course in spring and is a popular place for fishermen as its reservoir has a variety of fish species such as snakehead and carp. Major facilities include the Minrakjeong Pavilion, the Yeongi Battle Monument Park and an outdoor pool. The Yeongi Battle Monument Park displays about 20 pieces of sculpture works. As a waterside deck has been recently built near the reservoir, the park is frequently visited by local residents, and is emerging as a new tourist attraction.

Milmaru Observatory
Located at the center of the Sejong Administrative Town, Milmaru Observatory is designed to provide a view of the city in every direction. You can see the ever-changing Sejong City at one glance as well as neighboring regions such as Gongju and Jochiwon. Government Building Rooftop Garden
Government Complex Sejong has a rooftop garden which is 3.5km in length, which will be registered in the Guinness Book of Records as the “largest rooftop garden” among public administrative offices. In the green area of 60,445㎡, 1.3 million trees are planted. Administrative Office for Government Complex Sejong has opened the rooftop garden for the public from the second half of 2014.

Biamsa Temple
The traditional temple, Biamsa Temple, is said to be a temple founded by the Great Master Doseon during the late Unified Silla era, but the accurate history has not been identified yet. The house in the Geukrakbojeon Hall of Biamsa Temple, which was restored in 8th the year during the reign of King Hyojong (1657), has a delicate and glamorous design. The National Treasure No. 106, which was founded at Biamsa Temple in 1960, is stored at the Cheongju National Museum, while the National Treasure No. 367 and 368 are preserved at Gongju National Museum. As the temple is surrounded by forests with very few people, you can fully enjoy a beautiful and cozy atmosphere of an ancient temple; a zelkova tree aged over 800 years is another special thing you should not miss.

Unjusan Mountain
Unjusan Mountain is located at Jeongdong-myeon in Sejong City and it was named for always cloud around it. Unjusansanseong Fortress surrounds the 3 peaks to the southwest from the summit of Unjusan standing at 460m.

Gyeryongsan Mountain
Gyeryongsan National Park which features the most famous mountain in Chungcheong Province was the second national park of Republic of Korea designated in 1968 and its area is 65.335㎢. There are 10 valleys in between the 16 peaks surrounding the summit of Cheonhwangbong (847m) at center. It was named after its ridge which looks like a dragon wearing the comb of a chicken. Gyeryongsan Mountain is a popular place among tourists all year long due to its snug and ever-changing looks and being available for daily explorations for people coming from large cities such as Seoul and Daejeon. It is also outstanding in terms of geomancy and it was a possible candidate as the capital city and it was a holy mountain where national ancestral rites were performed.

Gyejoksan Mountain Red Clay Trail
Gyejoksan Mountain Red Clay Trail is a space where you can feel the health provided by nature that you cannot experience anywhere else in Korea. Walking or running along the 14km of red clay trail at 200~300m above sea level will restore health for your body and mind. It is popular among hiking enthusiasts from all over the country as it offers great view of the Gyejoksan Mountain for people riding on a bike during spring and winter and the ‘Gyejoksan Mountain Barefoot Festival’ is held every May.

Yuseong Hot Springs
The hot springs of Yuseong come from water that was created by the single layer of granite fracture zone consisting of 50-400m and it spurts from 200m below the ground at 27~56℃. In terms of physical-chemical characteristics, it is a slightly basic simple spring with pH between 7.5~8.5 and the silica (SiO2) content is above 40mg/L which makes it a renowned silica hot spring. There are many hot spring water using businesses with the Yuseong Hot Springs Station at center and it offers a free foot bath zone for people to enjoy.
